Next Film Project Addresses LGBT Bullying - and You Can Help Produce the Film!

Help Us Reach Our Production Goal of $175,000!
Is bullying a normal part of growing up, or a serious threat to vulnerable kids? What if the victims are LGBT? According to a 2005 survey commissioned by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) and Harris Interactive, each year 65 percent of LGBT teens are bullied, and most victims feel adults can't help. Through our next film and supporting advocacy campaign, BeCause will move behind school walls to explore the psycho-social dynamics of bullying and the lives it affects. By weaving together the stories of students, teachers, parents and families who are touched by the issue, BeCause will raise awareness of the often hidden problem of LGBT focused bullying and some stellar efforts underway to help all involved.
Right now, BeCause Foundation is in pre-production for our next film project about this issue, to be released in 2010. But we cannot do it without the generosity of donors like you. Your tax-deductible donation will help us make this film a reality. Please donate today and help us reach our goal.Related: Bullying, Upcoming Films
