On June 1st, 2010, the Welcome to Shelbyville trailer was screened on Opening Film Night of the Immigration and Refugee Program of Church World Service (CWS/IRP) Conference in Miami, Florida and attended by 150 employees in 34 CWS affiliate chapters.  The conference was hosted by the Church World Service and the screening was part of a workshop entitled: Welcome to Shelbyville: Using Film to Support Integration and Reach "Beyond the Choir".

"The Immigration and Refugee Program of Church World Service is an ecumenical family empowering churches to show hospitality to strangers, that is, to immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers and other uprooted people in the United States and around the world.  CWS/IRP resettles about 8,000 refugees and entrants in the United States each year, and also helps meet the needs of people in protracted refugee situations and refugees returning home."
